Hi everyone, This is our second Sunday in Peru. The two work weeks have gone by quickly and we have both kept very busy at the office.  Ken has done financial tasks of different kinds and I have been entering baptisms.  All of our area of missionaries average about 40-50 baptisms per week. I also merge letters from the mission president going to new members, new missionaries, their bishops, stake presidents  and also put together packets for missionaries about ready to go home. I have also learned how to put pictures and info on each missionary for our big board in the office and an identical one for the Mission President's board at his home. Our apartment is very nice and about 1-1/2 mile from the office.  I have talked Ken into taking a taxi in the morning and walking home after we leave the office at night. We had to go over to the MTC last week to fill out our papers for the Visa's and should get our cards in about a month.  We do go to church right by the MTC but not with the missionaries.  There are a lot of other American couples and a great cross section of regular members. Have seen and talk with Elder Grow and his wife Rhonda at church. It was really great to see them again.  Have a great week.....   Carolyn

August 4, 2013

This last week we spent at the MTC learning all about Preach My Gospel.  It was great.  We were richly taught by young returned missionaries.  It was great to feel their Spirit.  We also met many Senior Missionaries from all over the world some from Ireland and New Zealand.  There were about 50 going all over the world.  Again we were richly blessed by their testimonies and experiences.  We leave August 13, 2013 and already have an apartment close the Mission Office, one mile away on the 17th floor.  See you next week
